YAH! Youth Ministry

It's a Y.G. Thing.

Y.G. stands for ?Youth Group? and our youth groups are called YAH! It means "Youth At Hope." Hope's the church that pays the bills. Wondering What a Youth Group is? It?s where you?ll find food, fun and fellowship -- usually for free! It?s where you can get involved as much or as little as you want! It?s where you can relax away from Mom, Dad, school and work. It?s whenever you have 2 or 3 youth hanging out together!

Check out our cool Powerpoint about YAH! »

OUR MAIN YOUTH GROUP is SR YAH!

and is for youth in grades 9 through 12. We meet every Sunday night at Hope Church in our own "youth Room" called the Gas Works from 7 to 9 PM. Anyone is invited! We have got lots of stuff already planned like tubing, camping and even a "concert road trips."

Check out the stuff were gonna do this year in Sr. YAH! »

Chief Ministry Goal & Evaluation Statement

All of our planning will be evaluated by the following ministry goal:
"That our youth may Know, Stow, Grow, Glow and Sow their faith in Jesus Christ."

KNOW:

Recognize their sinfulness and need for a Savior, and KNOW God's plan for salvation through Jesus Christ [Head Knowledge].

+ Through this activity, will our youth come to understand Biblical truths about Jesus?

STOW:

Affirm the love of God personally in their lives and STOW His forgiveness in their hearts [Heart Knowledge].

+ Through this activity, will our youth be drawn to a personal relationship with Jesus?

GROW:

Strengthen and GROW in their relationship with Jesus Christ and other Christians through an active "Daily Walk" of prayer, Bible study and worship...

+ Through this activity, will our youth grow in their relationship with other Christians and in their daily walk with Jesus?

GLOW:

...So that their daily discernment in life situations may reflect their Spiritual gifts and the GLOW of Jesus in them.

+ Through this activity, will our youth be given an opportunity make choices, use their Spiritual gifts and to reflect Jesus?

SOW:

As a response to God's love, that they would SOW the seeds of the Gospel intentionally to others through their living testimonies of faith.

+ Through this activity, will our youth be taught how or be given the opportunity to share their faith in Jesus?
